“MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUES ( MET)” (FEBRUARY 3RD, 2024)

Introduction to Muscle Energy Techniques:01Hrs
Definitions of MET. Early sources of MET, Postisometric Relaxation and Reciprocal Inhibition, Lewit’s Postisometric relaxation method, Joints and MET,Patterns of function and dysfunction (Vladimir Janda concept of postural and Phasic muscles). Lower and Upper Cross Syndromes, Methods of using MET,Sequence of assessment and treatment of Muscular dysfunctions. MET and joint treatments.

MET for Upper and Lower Quadrant:05Hrs
MET for Gastrocnemius and Soleus, MET for Hamstrings( Semi-membranosus, semi-tendinosus and Biceps femoris), MET for short adductors( pectineus, adductor brevis, magnus and longus), MET for hip flexors( Iliopsoas and Rectus femoris), MET for Tensor Fascia Lata, MET for Piriformis and Quadratus Lumborum, MET for Pectoralis Major and Minor, MET for latissimus dorsi,MET for upper trapezius, MET for Scalenes( Anterior, Posterior and Medius),MET for Sternocleidomastoid, MET for Levator Scapulae, MET for Infraspinatus, MET for Subscapularis, MET for supraspinatus, MET for Erector Spinae.

MET for Joint Dysfunctions:02 Hrs
MET for Pelvic Complex Dysfunctions( Up-slip, Ant-rotation, out-flare and in-flare, posterior rotation), MET for lumbar dysfunction, MET for Cervical dysfunctions, MET for thoracic dysfunctions, MET for acromioclavicular and sternoclavicular dysfunctions, MET for rib dysfunctions, MET for Temporomandibular Joint dysfunctions.  
         
“MYOFASCIAL RELEASE TECHNIQUES ( MFR)” (FEBRUARY 4TH , 2024)

Introduction to Myofascial Release Techniques:02 Hr
Definition of MFR, Classification( Direct & Indirect, Intrinsic & Extrinsic), Description of fascia [Basic techniques (Feedback, Stretch, Hold, Release, End-feel)], concept of postural and phasic muscles( Vladimir Janda's concept), MFR treatment concepts [ POE(T)], Steps to MFR, MFR Techniques( Stroke release, strum release, Focus strum, Dural tube stretch and combination stretch.

Myofascial Release Techniques for Upper Quadrant:03 Hrs
Cranial base release, Superficial release of the paraspinal and general posterior fascia, Lateral fascia of the cervical spine, Sub occipitals, temporalis and general scalp fascia, Trapezius, Levator scapula, Scalanes, Sternocleidomastoid, Thoracic Inlet and Outlet, Pectoralis Major, Pectoralis Minor, Deltoid, Biceps Brachii , Triceps Brachii , Brachialis Pronator teres, Flexor and Extensor Muscles of Forearm.

Myofascial Release Techniques for Lower Quadrant:03 Hrs
Erector Spinae-Deep Fascia, Sacral Release, Rectus Abdominus, Psoas Major and Minor, Piriformis, Guteals, Iliacus, Quadratus lumborum, , Two-Point Technique for Deep Transverse Planes of Fascia. Pelvic/Urogenital-Lumbar-Abdomen, Psoas-Quad Fascial Integration , Hamstrings ,  Quadriceps Femoris, Lateral Iliotibial Band & Vastus Lateralis, Adductor Muscles, Gastrocnemius and Soleus , Tibialis Anterior, Peroneus Longus and Brevis and Plantar fascia.
